Mama’s New Cult is a rock band from Seattle, WA. Fronted by singer, songwriter and guitarist Zoey Huynh, the rest of the band is made up of Sean Callahan on lead guitar, David Robison on bass and synth, and Andy Gregory on drums. MNC has been a band for over a year, writing and recording demo's and then writing some more.
Their music is inspired by modern pop, alt rock, indie folk as well as 90’s female singer songwriters and at times, even noise.
The themes that MNC lyrics touch on range from love, to obsession, from sobriety to wanting to sleep away the days after this most recent election. Zoey sings about being biracial, the fear of the future, and the end of a relationship.
